Our Team
Dr John W. Verbeyst, DMD
Dr. Verbeyst started practicing dentistry in 1988 and joined our office in July, 2012, after earning his Bachelor of Science from Villanova University in 1984 and his DMD from the Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1988. With more than 24 years of experience, he loves working with his caring team to improve the oral health of his North Kingstown patients. Creating smiles that last for a lifetime is his chief goal.
When he’s away from the office, Dr. Verbeyst enjoys making wine and skiing. He is an avid sports enthusiast as well. Together, he and his wife, Kelly, have a son and a daughter.
Dr. Philippe H. Morisseau, DMD
A native of North Smithfield, RI, Philippe H. Morisseau began his college career by earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Rhode Island School of Pharmacy. He then pursued further education at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he obtained a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. In addition to general dentistry, Dr. Morisseau has extensive experience in dental implants, Lumineers porcelain veneers, and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Morisseau is an associate fellow in the American Institute of Implant Dentistry, and is also an active member of the American Dental Association, Rhode Island Dental Association, the South County Dental Association, and the Providence Plantations Study Club. He regularly attends continuing education courses and seminars, and continually strives to incorporate modern dental techniques and technology into his practice.
When’s he’s not creating healthy, beautiful smiles, Dr. Morisseau enjoys reading, movies, taking spin classes, biking, participating in Boy Scouts with his children, and spending time with his family.
Melissa DeJoseph, Office Manager
After working with our team here at Dr. Morisseau’s office from 2001-2006, Melissa rejoined our office staff at the start of 2009, and continues to function as our capable office manager who keeps everything running smoothly. A native of North Smithfield, Melissa attended the University of Rhode Island, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Child Development, and later graduated from Tufts University Radiology Certification Program. When she’s not working at the practice, she enjoys walking, traveling with her husband Jason, aerobics, real estate, reading, wine tasting, going to the beach, and sewing.
Melissa Lynch, Front Desk
When you come to our office, you’ll find Melissa’s smiling face waiting to greet you from our front desk. Melissa joined our team in November 2012. She loves our office’s upbeat, busy environment and the contemporary amenities we use to make our patients relaxed and comfortable. After hours, Melissa loves spending time with her husband and three children on their farm, where they raise honeybees and have a cat, a dog, and a few chickens. She also enjoys reading, gardening, hiking, running, cooking, and baking.
Kerri Ricciardi
Kerri joined our office in 2011 but has years of experience in the dental world. She loves working with the rest of our caring team and looks forward to each day being different. Knowing that she’s helped us make a difference in so many lives is a satisfying feeling. Kerri loves traveling, cooking, and animals, especially her Beagle.
Robin Howard, Registered Dental Hygienist
Robin began serving our patients as one of Dr. Morisseau’s dental assistants in 2000. In 2009, she completed her Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene and started her new duties as one of our dental hygienists. Robin looks forward to continuing to grow in the dental profession while making sure our patients stay healthy. Robin lives in Exeter with her husband. The family shares their house with a dog, Molly, and a cat, Bella.
Sarah Powrie, Registered Dental Hygienist
With her experience as a dental assistant, and now a dental hygienist, Sarah brings years of experience and attentiveness to the care she delivers at our North Kingstown office. She values our fast-paced, upbeat environment and our patient-centered focus, and takes pride in making other peoples’ smiles healthy and beautiful. Outside our office, Sarah enjoys spin class, weight training, shopping, reading, crafts, and taking care of her house. She also has a Basset Hound named Buster.
Isabel Silva, Registered Dental Hygienist
Besides being a dental hygienist for more than 13 years, Isabel also has experience as a dental assistant and a receptionist. She first joined our team in 1990 and has a degree in dental hygiene from the Community College of Rhode Island. She loves our office’s modern amenities and having the chance to meet the needs of our patients every day. Away from our North Kingstown office, Isabel loves spending time with her husband and two sons. She also enjoys shopping, going to the beach, walking, and staying fit.
Rachele Silva, Registered Dental Hygienist
A member of our experienced dental hygiene team since 2005, Rachele holds an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from Community College of Rhode Island, and is currently working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Sciences at the University of Rhode Island. She enjoys helping our patients achieve and maintain dental health, as well as empowering them to care for their teeth effectively at home. When she’s not keeping our patients’ teeth clean, Rachele spends time walking her dogs, antiquing with her mother, and traveling with friends. She shares her home with a dog named Casey and a cat named Thomas.
Bridget Morin, Dental Assistant
A dedicated dental assistant, Bridget joined our office in 2000. She assists Dr. Morisseau with chairside procedures and ensures that our patients remain comfortable and at ease throughout their visit. Bridget completed Tufts University Radiology Certification Program, and is continually looking to broaden her skill set to better serve our patients. Away from the office, Bridget enjoys spending time with her daughter, Sheree, and their family’s cat.
Nicole Smith, Dental Assistant
Nicole works side-by-side every day with Dr. Morisseau to deliver quality, patient-focused care. She joined our team in 2012 but has more than six years of experience in the dental field. Prior to joining us, she earned her certificate in dental assisting in 2006. Nicole loves spending time with her boyfriend and her two cats. She also enjoys shopping, tanning, vacationing, and trying new restaurants.
Ana Vieira, Dental Assistant
Ana provides invaluable help every day as she assists Dr. Verbeyst chairside. She started in the dental field in 1998 and joined Aesthetic Dentistry of Wickford in July, 2012 and loves helping our patients achieve a healthier smile. Besides helping us provide top-quality care, Ana loves walking and spending time with her family.
Alicia Wheeler, Dental Assistant
Alicia has worked in the dental field since 2001, and came on board with us in 2008. Her education includes attending Community College of Rhode Island and completing Tufts University Radiology Certification Program. In her free hours, Alicia enjoys spending time with friends, staying fit, walking, fishing, reading, and singing. Alicia lives in Warwick with her daughter, Arianna.
